A Bit About Me

I am a New Zealand born and bred artist originally from Hamilton now based in Whanganui. I live with my partner and two dogs, Star and Comet, and paint in my spare time. I've been interested in art since I was 10 years old where my grandma would teach me the basics about drawing. Over the years I developed my style and my preferred medium is acrylic paint, though I dabble in oil paints and marker art.

My goal is to bring a smile to the faces of people who see my artworks and to encourage a personal connection with the pieces. My favourite things to hear are "This reminds me of my family" or "This is my favourite colour", I feel motivated to achieve more and dream bigger when people let me know their personal connections to my artworks.

2023

2015

After studying and working for several years, I hadn't had much time for art. It was still a passion, but I had less energy and motivation. In January of 2023 during the New Years break, I finally decided to launch my own website selling prints of my artworks. This decision has launched my art career and given me the confidence I needed to pursue printing my works onto more things, like notebooks and coasters (coming soon!).

I knew I liked drawing and art when I started high school, so when the year 10s were offered the opportunity to complete level 1 NCEA visual art a year early I jumped at the opportunity. This allowed me to do NCEA level 2 art early the next year then ultimately I was able to prove my case to finish level 3 NCEA early by taking on two other level 3 classes. My art allowed me to start my bachelor's degree at 17 as I finished level 3 in year 12.

2009

I started taking drawing lessons from my grandma on Saturday mornings. I learned to sketch what I saw, to shade and was introduced to my first taste of painting; watercolours. This is concrete beginning to my art journey.
